As the author of The Fireborn Chronicles, she documents a distant future long after Earth’s demise which embodies the inevitable fusion of Man, Machine, the Paranormal, and now…the Supernatural. That’s right, she’s added a vampire—or two—to the Fireborn, who are already at home in flame. In fact, she will be releasing a prequel to the series, her fifth book entitled The Fireborn Chronicles: Bat In The Moon, at the 2019 Ama-Con’s Pop Cultural Festival in the Amarillo Civic Center on August 3-4.

Previous to this appointment, she earned her MFA in visual arts, also teaching art at a Boys and Girls Club in Providence and at a Spanish Language School in Tangiers. Sekji learned Arabic with a 10-year residence in Morocco and Polish while living near Krakow. When not exhibiting, writing, or walking her dogs, she studies Shotokan, Kali, Japanese weaponry, and magic. If a pink vardo-inspired 1978 Toyota Huntsmen named Lady Aisha’s Emporium is spotted, Sekji will be trundling her dogs and artwork to an exhibit.
